HISTORY
While Sean Bean’s career in the limelight has taken off in the last few years with roles in productions such as Goldeneye, Lord of The Rings and Game of Thrones, it is bubbles that really fuel and move this great man. And now with a lucrative film career Sean can afford to give time to his first and true love; his love of bubbles.
Sean has plans for a 13 part TV show all about Bubbles, and to tell the story about how a personal love of bubbles has shaped his life. Sean left school at 16 with two bubbles and tried to let his passion lead his life. He explains how he tried a variety of bubble-related jobs, including selling bubbles in a supermarket, shovelling bubbles, and opening a bubble fabrication shop in Hemel Hempstead before resigning himself to a life in acting.

But even as his acting career bloomed, his love of bubbles stayed strong. Never one to shy away from bubbles even in his film career, Sean carries a souvenir from his appearance in Patriot Games: during the climactic fight scene Harrison Ford accidentally cut him above his left eye because “He wouldn’t stop going on about bloody bubbles”, an injury which required 8 stitches to close.
On the advice of his lawers, Harrison then presented Sean with an apology and told him that he liked bubbles too. |
Few people know that as a rider on EVERY film he makes, Sean Bean insists that his name be whispered into the title sequence. Most people don't notice, but if you listen carefully to the "Game of Thrones" opening sequence you can actually make it out. Some people claim they can also see his face in it.
